I am trying to create a quiz which has 3 results based on the answers. Each question has one of these 3 answers.
Based on the number of answers I get from each of these, I need to display one of these 3 results and finally direct them to 2 different results page
I have written the answers but how do I get the actual result now

Hi Manu Gupta,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. It seems you are looking to create a quiz that displays results based on the answers given and directs users to different results pages. In order to display the Thank You page based on the results of the quiz, you will need to manually create multiple Change Thank You page conditions. Let me show you how it's set up:
- Click on the Settings tab in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
- Click on Conditions on the left side of the screen.
- In the Conditions menu, click on the Change Thank You Page
- Then, set the conditions as you see below:
These findings are only a sample. It is still up to your scoring preferences and whether or not you want a special thank you page to appear based on the outcomes of their score. Check out the screencast below to see my results:
Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.

thank you for responding.
Actually, there are supposed to be 3 outputs based on the answers given by
students - lets say maths, science, and social sciences. Each of the
answers in 10 questions corresponds to one of the outputs - maths, science,
and social sciences.
My question is how do I calculate how many maths, how many science and how
many social science answers did a person give?
thanks

Hi Manu Gupta,
If you want to know how many they selection to each question I would suggest to add three Form calculation that was assign to selection, which is Math, Social Sciences and science. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element + on the top left side.
- On the left panel, click on Widgets tab and select Form Calculation, and add three below of each question and name it as Math, Social Science, and Science.
Then, repeat the process to all question from your form. After that, you need to setup an Update/Calculate condition to add value to each form calculation. Let me show you how:
1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
2. Click on Conditions on the left of the page.
3. Now, click on Add a New Condition and then click on Update/Calculate field.
4. Set the conditions like you see below:
You can check my demo form here. Feel free to clone it using this guide. Then, you can follow the steps provide by my colleague to show a result.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

virtualmompreneursReplied on March 11, 2025 at 11:20 AMHi Danilo,
Thank you so so much for sharing this with me. Now, I understand how to
calculate the answer.
Another question, can I directly insert the values into the total Math
rather than creating these 3 fields for every question and embedding the
value for every answer?
This would make it simpler and easier. Would there be a problem with that?
Thanks
Manu

Hi Manu,
Unfortunately, it's not possible to directly insert the values in the Total fields. You will need to get the calculation of each field or question to add them up in the Total field.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

virtualmompreneursReplied on March 11, 2025 at 1:30 PMQ1. What would happen if I just create the conditions and add the values to
these fields as in Total maths, total science etc?
Pls see my screenshot and help me understand. Adding 3 custom fields for
every question is a lot of work. I have 10 questions and 3 outcomes which
means atleast 30 fields and conditional logic for each of them and maybe
around 35-36 as some have 4 answers.
Thats a lot of workQ2 Also, can I directly give values to every corresponding answer. Pls see
the screenshotAnd finally, I want to capture names and email addresses of the person who
takes the quiz at the end and finally direct them to a different landing
page based on these 3 outcomes.
Q3. How can I first capture name and email address (after they take the
quiz but before I display the results) and then direct to a custom landing
page based on the result?

Hi Manu,
The values will not add up if you directly set up a condition calculating the Total field. Check out my screencast below for reference:
