Date Picker field: The error is not being removed even after fixing it

We have limits set on date/time fields in our form. While the limits are recognizing when there is an error, the error does not go away once the error is fixed and prevents the submission of the form.

    Hi there,

This is a different issue from that other thread. The other one was on how to limit same day values (fixed). This one is about resolved date errors not being recognized and preventing submission; and this one has not been fixed.

    Hi BCSF,

I've cloned your form and tested it, but I was able to submit the form after fixing the error. Check out my screencast below:

Keep us updated and let us know how it goes.

    Hi there,

I tried different browsers and with a cleared cache and it still doesn't work.

    Please try these steps:

-instead of an empty date, put in a date that is outside of the limits (via typing not via calendar), such as 4/25/2024

    -then try to submit

    -should throw error

-fix error (change to 2025 for example)

-try to submit (does not work for me)

I took a video / screen recording of it, but it won't let me attached that file.

    Hi BCSF,

I cloned your form to test it, and I easily replicated the issue. There is an easy fix for this, we just need to enter a value for the End Date. Let me show you how:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder, scroll down, and select the Date Picker field.

    2. Click on the Gear icon on the right side of the field to open its properties.

    3. Under the Limits tab, set the End Date in the Start & End Date section.

    4. That's it. You can repeat the steps 1 to 3 for the other Date Picker fields.

Check out the screencast below to see my results:

You might also want to check out this guide about How to Use the Date Limits Option.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

    Hello,

I have updated the limit to have an end date but it still does not work. The steps to replicate are:

    1. Enter a date manually that is outside of the limits
    2. Click Submit. This leads to the error message. The error message for a date outside of the limits does not appear until after an attempted submission.
    3. Update the date to be within the limits
    4. Attempt to submit again - error persists and prevents submission

    Hi BCSF1,

When I tested my cloned form and followed the instruction on how to fill out the Date Picker field, I had the same issue, so I created a ticket and escalated this to our Developers. Although we don't know exactly when it'll be fixed, we’ll circle back to this thread when we have an update.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.
