Gift registry: allow only one choice from available options

I'm using the gift registry widget. I have three items to choose from, and each item has a limited quantity. I want to restrict users to a single choice from the available items. Currently it works as a multiple choice box, what I'm looking for is a registry with radio buttons. 

There may be a more sophisticated way to do this other than using the registry. Please suggest if that's the case
