Great integration! IHere's a question for your team.

A challenge I found was to "Find existing record", particularly when the Object to be found is a Contact, the name of which is composed of two entries "First Name" and "Last Name", but I need the Jotform space to be a single entry. I ended up doing the link through a specific Object Field, like an email address... Unfortunately, the integration only works when the Jotform entry is an Email widget, which requires the user to type the address, as opposed to choosing from a list. Do you have any suggestions on the matter? Thank you

    Hi Justice,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. When selecting 'Find an existing record', you can match the email field with an Email element in Jotform. Check out the screenshot below to see my results:

But, you can add a Dropdown element to your form and then use Conditional Logic to copy the field value from the Dropdown element to the Email element. This way, form fillers can select the email address from a list, and it will automatically insert the email address in the Email field. It's really easy to do. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element at the top-left of your screen.
    2. In the Basic tab of the left-side Panel, navigate to the Dropdown element and drag and drop it into your form. Salesforce Integration: Unable to map a dropdown field to the email field in Salesforce to match an existing record Image 2 Screenshot 81
    3. Next, click on the Gear icon.
    4. In the Options tab of the Panel on the right, navigate to the Options field and enter the email addresses. Salesforce Integration: Unable to map a dropdown field to the email field in Salesforce to match an existing record Image 3 Screenshot 92

Now all that's left is adding an Update/Calculate Field condition to your form to pass the value from the Dropdown element to the Email element. Let me show you how to do that:

    1. Still in Form Builder, click on Settings in the orange navigation bar at the top of your screen.
    2. In the Conditions tab of the left-side Panel, select Update/Calculate Field. Salesforce Integration: Unable to map a dropdown field to the email field in Salesforce to match an existing record Image 4 Screenshot 103
    3. Finally, set the condition like you see below and then click on Save. Salesforce Integration: Unable to map a dropdown field to the email field in Salesforce to match an existing record Image 5 Screenshot 114

That's it. Check out the screencast below to see my results:

If this isn't what you're looking for, can you explain a bit more about the issue you're having and what you're trying to achieve so that I can have a better idea of what's going on and help you with a solution? It will also be helpful if you can share with us the URL of the form you're working on.

After we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with this.
