I have had jotforms for years eventhough we only use it seasonally. I downgraded plan to not waste money when we weren't receiving submissions. I have come into my account to see that THOUSANDS of submissions appear to have been deleted. Am I to understand that I am required to pay hundreds of dollars just to have submissions. I was under impression that submission limit was for receiving submissions for forms which their have been no new submisisons

Hi Kelby,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Downgrading your account will not delete any existing submissions or forms from your account. But, for Starter account it will reduce your limits, such as the total submission storage, some of your submissions may be hidden until space becomes available, or your limits increased again.
In the future, if you wish to upgrade and downgrade again, we suggest to download all your data. It's also possible to Export All of your data at once. Let me show you how to do that:
- Go to your Account page.
- Click Data on the left panel.
- Click on Download My Data button under the Export Data row.
- A pop-window will appear, click on Create new export.
- You can choose the timeframe and also the data you want to include and after that click Prepare download
The system will prepare your data and notify you automatically through email once ready. We also have guides on Understanding Your Account Usage and Limits and How to Export All of Your Data at Once that you can check out.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
