Form Question - Assigning Numbers to Submitted Forms

Hi team

I run a food bank at a local church in Calgary, we are trying to use a form to better manage our queue system. We currently have people queued up at 2am and it's not working out hence the need for an online form for registering.

Is there a way that when a user signs up to register, they are given a number that is tied to when they submit the form. The number would need to be between 1 to 130 (that's our max program capacity) based on when they signed up - that's how we are going to call the people by number - hopefully the form can help!

This is what I have created so far, in this form I did the random generator number widget but that isn't going to work as we need the number given to be linked to the form submission - https://form.jotform.com/242618312083249

Hi Padraig,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Yes, you can do that by using the Submissions counter widget. Let me show you how:

1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element.
2. Go to Widgets tab, search, and add Submissions Counter widget to your form.
3. Click on Wand icon in the Submissions Counter widget.
4. Now, set Conter Type as Today's submissions. By setting this, it will count that day's submissions.

5. Then scroll down and set Hide Widget to Yes. To hide this widget from the form.

6. Go to Settings tab in the orange navigation bar at the top.

7. Click on Thank you page in the menu on the left and click on + Add Field.

8. Now, add Submissions counter widget in the Thank you page.
