How to Remove Labels from Autocompleted Address field?

It looks like this feature request has been made numerous times over the past few years and I can't see anything saying that there will ever be a solution. It is always "passed to our developers".

It is such a basic requirement to be able to enter an address without labels, eg

    4177 Admiralty Way
    Marina del Rey
    CA
    90292

This is the only output available, and is not useful on quotes, order forms, invoices etc.

    Street name: Admiralty Way
    Street number: 4177
    City: Marina del Rey
    State: CA
    Postal code: 90292

As there is no way to strip the labels from the output, it makes a bit of a nonsense to use this address lookup field.

For everyone who has posted this previously, I am requesting a further nudge to get this changed.

    Thanks

    Hi Johnstone_Dot,

The Autocompleted Address Widget is specifically designed for form owners who want to choose which address elements to autocomplete. For this reason, it isn’t possible to remove the labels from the widget, as they are essential for the system to accurately detect and complete the related fields.

If you want to view the address without labels while ensuring your form fillers provide accurate and complete address information, you can use Jotform's GeoComplete Widget, powered by GoogleMaps API. Let me show you how you can add it to your form:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.

    2. Under the Widgets tab at the top of the Form Elements menu on the left, search for the GeoComplete widget.

    3. Click on the widget field to add it to your form.

Now, let's set up your GeoComplete widget:

    1. Select the widget field in your form and click on the Wand icon that comes up on the right side of the widget field.

    2. In the Widget Settings menu that comes up on the right, enter your Google Maps API Key in the Google Maps API Key field.

    3. Then, click on Update Widget at the bottom right corner of the Widget Settings menu.

    Hi Emma,

Thanks for your response, however this is not what I'm wanting.

We are wanting to remove the labels from the output, not the form that is completed. So, when we create a PDF for sending or printing, this always shows the address field labels, and we don't want these to appear.

I attached a screenshot showing both the form as completed online along with the printed output.

We want the output as follows:

    4177 Admiralty Way
    Marina del Rey
    CA
    90292

    We get this instead:

    Street name: Admiralty Way
    Street number:
    4177
    City:
    Marina del ReyState: CA
    Postal code:
    90292

This is the only output available, and is not useful on quotes, order forms, invoices etc.

Please escalate this so the widget feature is useful.

    Thanks!

    Hi Emma,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. Unfortunately, the feature you are requesting is not possible. The format of the Auto Completed Address widget is auto generated.

While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform. I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. When or if it's implemented depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it.

If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

    Hi Allan,

If you read my first email, you will see that I mention that this feature request is going nowhere within Jotform - your response is the standard "we'll escalate to our developers".

From what I can see this request has been made numerous times for years now! And there is no way to up-vote requests.

    It's disappointing.

    Hi Emma,

Unfortunately, the feature that you are looking for is not available yet. However, this has been escalated already as a feature request. when or if it's implemented depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We appreciate it.
