When you use the name field and make it mandatory it does not make the middle name mandatory. Any way to fix that?

    Hi Mike,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to make the middle name mandatory. Only the first and last names are set as required to allow users who have no middle names. As a workaround, you can use instead a Short Text field. Let me show you how:

    1. In your Form Builder, add 3 Short Text Fields in your form, and rename it with the 3 name types. Make the Middle name field as required Image 1 Screenshot 50

To shrink the size of the field:

    1. Select the field and click the Gear icon.
    2. In the Short Text Properties, go to the Advanced tab and toggle the Shrink as On.
    3. Repeat the same steps for other fields. Make the Middle name field as required Image 2 Screenshot 61

Next, let's adjust the width of the fields and align them as a single line:

    1. Select the field and click the Gear icon.
    2. In the Short Text Properties, go to the Options tab and toggle the Width as Fixed.
    3. Enter the width as 150. You can also adjust it based on your preference.
    4. Repeat the same steps for other fields. Make the Middle name field as required Image 3 Screenshot 72

Lastly, set the three fields as Required:

    • Press and hold your Shift key while clicking each field.
    • After selecting the fields, click the Require button at the top of your page. Make the Middle name field as required Image 4 Screenshot 83

That's it! Test your form, and you will see that the 3 fields are now in a single line, the same with a full name field.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
