Why our email keeps being put on a bounce list?

    Good Morning,

    We keep having issues every now and then where our main email keeps getting put on a bounce list- which prevents us from seeing any patient referrals. Is this something that we can do to prevent from happening? this has happened to us multiple times.

    Hi Caitlin,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Can you send me the link to your form, so I can take a look at it for you? Also, can you please share the email address? The email address might have been added to the bounce list for several reasons. The mailbox is being full, Jotform is being on your blacklist, the mail server was down, your email server rejecting emails because they seem like spam, or a nonexistent or inactive email address could all be the cause. You can try to whitelist Jotform addresses or ask your email provider to whitelist Jotform addresses.

    So, we have multiple forms for different locations and referral reasons, etc. The emails do go to our back up email but not our main email. It's almost every few months this tends to happen.

    Hi Caitlin,

    I've checked out your form Animal Eye Care Associates Ladson- Referring Veterinarian, and I noted that you are using Yahoo Mail as a main email address: aec_cook@yahoo.com and you are using noreply@jotform.com as a sender's email. You can use SMPT use your Yahoo Mail address, so the Notification Email will be sent from your Yahoo Mail instead of noreply@jotform.com. This will increase more reliability of getting Notification Email. Here is a guide on how to set up SMPT using the Yahoo Mail. Here is a details guide you should go through before you proceed.

     You can also whitelist Jotform's IP addresses and domains. These are the IP addresses:

    • 152.160.0.0/16
    • 23.251.253.0/26
    • 23.26.226.0/24

    You can refer to the guide on how to whitelist Jotform's IP addresses. There are several possible explanations for why your email address might have ended up on the bounce list. Your mailbox might be full, preventing new emails from being delivered. It's also possible that your mail server is down or experiencing issues. Another reason could be that Jotform is on your deny list, blocking emails from being received. Additionally, your email address might be inactive or nonexistent. Finally, your email server might have rejected the emails because they appeared to be spam. So, you will need to check it with Yahoo and find out why it is not allowing emails from noreply@jotform.com?

    Here are the steps you can follow in order to set SMTP with your email address:

    1. Go to your My Account page, and

    4. Enter the following information:
    5. Email Address: {your Yahoo email address}
    6. Hostname: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    7. Port: 465/587
    8. Username: {your email address}
    9. Password: {your email password}
