Edit submission using Form URL with Submission ID

    Hi Team,

I have a query regarding the submission ID.

    https://form.jotform.com/241691897597075?submission_id=6011506128719058730

When I used the submission ID, it did not fetch the data from JotForm.
After submitting the form, I must re-edit it using the submission ID. The URL mentioned above needs to have the submission ID added to it.

    Hi Infuse_Travel,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If you want to edit the submission by using a URL and the ID you may try using this URL:

    https://www.jotform.com/edit/6011506128719058730

To view another submission, you can just replace the submission ID with the submission you would like to edit.

If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more, so I can help you better?

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Andreas,

It's working as expected, but we are facing a new issue. The hidden fields that I kept in the forms are visible to the user. I have actually mapped the IDs.

kindly give me a solution it would be helpful for me.

    Hi Infuse_Travel,

By default, form owners can view hidden fields when using the edit link. However, if the link is opened in a private or incognito window, the fields will remain hidden. To ensure the hidden fields stay hidden, even in Edit mode, you can add a Get Form Page URL widget to the form and set a condition to keep them hidden when the URL contains edit. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Add Form Element on the left.
    2. Go to the Widgets tab.
    3. Drag and drop the Get Form Page URL (your form fillers will not see this widget on the form).

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
    2. Click on Conditions on the left side of the screen.
    3. Select the Show/Hide Field.
    4. Create a condition as follows and click Save.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
