LOBC_FinanceAsked on September 2, 2024 at 3:27 PM
Hello!
We have several calculations in a form, and a few conditions.
When "Total Cash 2" is equal to "Cash Amount" show [text1]
When "Total Cash 2" is NOT equal to "Cash Amount" show [text2]
It's ALWAYS showing text 2, even when the fields are equal.
I tried adding all the cash fields together as well as just copying the cash total into the hidden field.
It works great for the checks, but not the cash!
Can you help?

Hi LOBC_Finance,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. When I cloned and tested your form, the same thing happened for me. After investigating it a bit, I found that the decimal function on the Cash Amount field needs to be fixed. It's really easy to fix. Let me show you how:
- 1. In Form Builder, click on the wand icon of the Cash Amount Field and go to Options.
- Check the 2 options like you see below, then Save:
Please also note that since this is a hidden field, you will need to change the Clear Hidden field value to Don't Clear. Because if not, when you submit the form, the value of the hidden fields will be removed.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

LOBC_FinanceReplied on September 2, 2024 at 4:55 PMWell, that darned little Options link!!
It worked wonderfully well, thank you, but now the check version isn't!
I did just add a condition [were any checks restrcited] = NO, then hide the
filed "Uhoh"
But it looks like the other options are the same.
What went wrong?

Hi LOBC_Finance,
I didn’t fully understand the issue. Is the Form Calculation Widget for the Checks field the one that is having the issue? I checked the Form Calculation Widget and it doesn't have any added fields on it. Do you manually add values on it or does the value come from another field?
Can you explain a bit more about the issue, so I can get a better idea of what's happening? It would also help us to understand what’s happening if you could take a screenshot and send it to us. We have a guide here explaining how to do that.
Once we have a better idea of what’s going on, we’ll be able to come up with a solution.

Thank you!
The first issue was resolved, but it seemed to break what was already occurring.
I have engaged a private support expert.
Thank you for your help! It was a good solution to the original problem!
