    Hi Lauren,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. We still don't utilize Oauth to set up SMTP. We still require the SMTP details to finish the setup. However, I understand that Google will make adjustments in the future, and we are aware that this will have a substantial impact on people who utilize their Google account to configure SMTP.

Normally, when changes affect a large number of Jotform users, developers are notified so that they can make the required adjustments before the changes are implemented and we normally send a communication via email to our users if there's any action they need to take on their end.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

    I'm following this topic too.
I was wondering today the same question.

Please update as soon as possible this feature, otherwise we will have to leave Jotforms to migrate to another app which uses OAuth as Google requires.

Yes, there are plans in place to transition to OAuth before Google disables the app password feature this summer Cashmere Scarves. We're ensuring a smooth transition for all users.

    Hi Enrica_Youston,

Google Workspace is discontinuing support for Less Secure Apps (LSAs) and transitioning to a more secure method using OAuth 2 for SMTP configurations.

As a result, any email services using Google Workspace SMTP credentials will need to be updated to use OAuth 2. We’ve implemented this update on our end, but urgent action is required on your part to complete the transition.

    1. Follow this guide to configure your Google OAuth 2 on your account,

    2. Then, remove your existing SMTP credentials associated with Google Workspace. While removing your old custom sender emails, you can also update all the forms to use your new sender email authenticated with OAuth 2 at once. You can follow the steps below to see how it's done.

    1. In My Forms, click on the Avatar on the upper right side of your screen.
    2. In the dropdown menu, click on Settings.
    3. Now, click on the Trash bin icon on the right side of the Sender Emails field.
    4. Then, select your new email and click on Delete Now button to confirm it.

    Important Note:

    1. Please note that before removing the old custom sender email, first you need to configure your Google OAuth on your account, otherwise, you'll lose your Sender Email connection for all your forms and this will require configuring all your Sender Emails from the start.

    2. Also keep in mind that Google SMTP credentials must be reconfigured using OAuth 2 before September 30, 2024, to avoid any service disruptions.

Let us know if you have any questions.
