Sliding scale as payment.

How do I set up sliding scale using stripe? I use their sliding scale item now, and I like that there is a default that the visitors can edit within limits.

Do you want to have a sliding scale as a payment and integrate it with Stripe? If so, you can use our Numeric Slider widget and add it to your form to serve as a sliding-scale payment option. Let me show you how to add it to your form:

1. In Form Builder, click the Add Form Element.
2. Under the widgets tab, search and add a Numeric Slider to your form.

You can then include the form calculation widget, which will be utilized to extract the value from each numeric slider, add them together, and then transfer the value to the payment field. But can you give us more information on how your form works, and how will you use the sliding scale so we can help you with a solution?

This is my current page. It has a default amount, a range of possible
inputs, etc. I would need the payment confirmation to be attached to the
appointment form so that I can easily see the payment was made during the

Thanks for getting back to us. I’m sorry you're having difficulties with this. We suggest that you first create a form and then integrate Stripe. Integrating Stripe with your form is easy. Let me walk you through it:

1. Open your form in Form Builder. 

2. Then, open the Payments Toolbox on the left side of the page and drag and drop Stripe onto your form.

3. In the Integration Wizard, click on Connect with Stripe. You can customize the integration even more by clicking on Additional Gateway Settings.

4. Once you're connected, choose which item you want to sell.

• Is this a service or a product?
• Will there be a single payment for a product or recurring payments for a subscription?
• Will you be collecting donations?
• Do you want to create Stripe customers after submission or charge the customers immediately?
• Do you want to choose the type of decimal separator to use?
• Do you want to let your customers choose more than one product?

5. Next, enter your products. Choose from options like creating coupons, establishing a shipping fee, or adding tax.

6. Now, test your form and begin selling your products.

Hi Suz,

Thanks for getting back to us. I'm sorry you're having difficulties with this. You can use our Numeric Slider widget and add it to your form. This would act as the sliding scale payment for each of the events. You would need to add a numeric slider for each of the events that you are doing.

Then you would need to add the form calculation widget which you would be using to get the value from all the numeric slider events and total them then pass it to the payment field and since your form has the option where you are including an option for all classes without a sliding scale. You would need to add a numerical value to it.

After configuring the form calculation, you can then pass the form calculation widget value to the payment field to be able to charge your users with the total amount.

Thanks for getting back to us. To confirm, do you want to use the Form Calculation widget instead of the Numeric Slider? If so, that is possible. You can use the Form Calculation field to pass the calculation value to your payment field.

1. In your Payment Settings, set Payment Type to User Defined Amount.
2. Lastly, then set the Get Price From option to the Form Calculation widget.

If you want to have a suggested amount as default, you can then enable the Suggested Amount option and Set "Suggested Amount" as Minimum option. Take a look at the screenshot below:

I think I got it. I still need to set a min and max value for the field.
I am not seeing how to do that in the functions list.

Thanks for getting back to us. To clarify, did you mean you want to set a minimum and maximum amount in the Form Calculation widget? If yes, you can add two 'Paragraph' elements to your form where you can put an error message, and then show/hide the error message based on the entered amount using Conditional Logic. Let me show you how to do that:

1. In Form Builder, click on Add Form Element in the upper-left corner of the page.
2. Under Basic, scroll down a bit to see Paragraph. Drag and drop it twice onto the form, preferably right below the Form Calculation widget.
3. Enter an error message into each Paragraph field, similar to what's shown in the screencast below.
4. Modify the text's font, colors, etc.

Next, let's set up Conditional Logic on your form:

1. Click on Settings in the orange navigation bar at the top part of the page.
2. Go to Conditions, and click on Add Condition.
3. Select Show/Hide Field, and set up the first set of conditions as shown in the screenshot below.
4. Click on Save.
