Thank You for your nomination for an athlete, team or builder into the Nunavut Sport and Recreation Hall of Fame.

Before starting the process you will need to have/know the following:

• Nominee's personal information
• Nominee's achievements and contributions
• Nominee's contribution to sport and recreation
• Photo's and articles of the nominee (if available)

The selection committee will select recipients into the Nunavut Sport and Recreation Hall of Fame off of information from this nomination form.  The more information the nominator is able to provide the better opportunity for induction. 

ELIGIBILTY
 
1) Athletes - Any individual athlete or team in amateur or professional sport who has achieved outstanding & extraordinary success in Nunavut and/or Canada, or as a Nunavummiut competing abroad.

Athlete nominees shall not ordinarily be considered until five (5) years after retirement from major competition.

2) Builders - Any individual who has made an outstanding and extraordinary contribution to grassroots, amateur or professional sport in Nunavut other than as a competitor.

Builder nominees maybe either active or inactive at the time of their consideration.

3) Nominees must have been born in Northwest Territories (pre-1999) or Nunavut (post 1999) and/or lived in Northwest Territories (pre-1999) or Nunavut (post 1999) for a period of 10 years.

4) The nominee must be in good standing with NU Sport Federation and it’s member Territorial Sport/Recreation Organizations.
